Christmas Festivities in Review

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday but now that I have kids I love it even more. I love seeing the excitement on their faces when they see Christmas lights, or how proud they are when they look at a gingerbread house they have constructed. We had a very busy and exciting month. We moved into a new home just in time for the holidays, so life has been very, very busy. Here is a sneak peak of some of our December activities in 2010.

We went Christmas Caroling with a group of friends. The kids had a great time and the Daddy's were much more into it than we originally thought they would be. We are hoping to make this a yearly tradition.

What could be better than to open the door to these cuties singing jingle bells?

BFF's Kate and Calum

Calum and Mommy. Calum was not shy at all and was right in the front shaking his bells and singing. Evan really liked it too, but stayed back a little and sang beautifully next to Daddy.

Grammie was here for a visit and a big help during our move. The boys loved having Grammie around for the everyday activities...like Rah Rah (Read At Home) books.

Since Grammie's birthday is on Christmas Day and she was here visiting in December we celebrated early by having her favorite dessert (Creme Brule), and no of course it's not home made.

We did lots of baking this month. The intention was to give the cookies away, and although we did do some of that, I think we consumed MORE than we gave away. We made gingerbread men cookies and the boys had a blast decorating them. Here's Evan showing off his treats.

Then there were Christmas Shows,

And More Baking,

And More Decorating (see the frosting in Calum's hair),

And More Baking,

Tree Decorating

and more tree decorating,

and gingerbread house making,

and Christmas parties, gift exchanges, and....

Evan's Kindergarten Christmas performance and pajama day. This was the cutest ever.

Evan and his buddy Allison

Evan and the greatest Kindergarten teacher EVER. We love you Mrs. Passmore! And yes she made all the kids their adorable elf hats.

Evan and his pal Brock after their performance.

Wha-hoo Winter Break, although Evan does love school we are all loving not having a schedule and having some family time.
