The week before you were off for Winter Break we had a very special house guest. You were selected to be "The Star of the Week". One of the many advantages of being "Star of the Week" is that you got to bring home Buddy Bear for an entire week. He really did become part of the family. He slept right next to you each night and you even tucked him in giving him his own special blanket.
We had to have pizza one night since we were told that pizza is his favorite food.
Buddy even came with us to pick out our Christmas tree.

The week quickly came to a close and it was time to give Buddy back so someone new could enjoy his company. You were not prepared for his part, and it was really hard to say good bye. You completed a journal entry in the shinning star book to tell about your time with Buddy and you wrote;
I like Buddy because he wears special clothes. I took Buddy to the Christmas tree farm. I also took him caroling. I was sad when I had to give Buddy back.
