Fun With Shaving Cream

Evan and I took a bottle of shaving cream and a flat aluminum platter and headed outside for some fun. I thought this would be a great way for him to practice writing his letters while having some fun and getting messy.

I walked into the house to answer the phone, and when I came back outside this is how I found Evan. This is very impressive coming from a boy who had an extreme sensitivities to textures when he was younger. I remember our sessions with his Occupational therapist when Evan would cry if his hands got dirty. So needless to say, this mama was not upset that Evan was covered in shaving cream, in fact I was quite the opposite. I was actually thrilled that he had done this, and all on his own!

Obviously there wasn't a lot of letter practicing going on, but lots of fun!!

Evan told me he wanted to look like Santa Claus. Here's my Santa with a mini beard!

This looks like a summer activity when we have the kids in their bathing suits and we can hose them off afterwards. The girls would love it!!!

They do quite a bit with shaving cream at preschool. What a great idea to put him outside and let him go wild. I really need to do more of that kind of thing:)

That's fun! I can see my kids thinking it was whipped cream and trying to eat it!
