Since it is Valentine's day I thought it would be a great time to share some thoughts about my three loves.
My first love., Geoff . He is a great husband, and the best Dad I have ever seen or known. Since Evan's birth we don't get to spend very much quality time together, and we know that this needs to change. No more weekly date nights:(. Thinking back it cracks me up how before we had kids we would have weekly "date nights" when we were together every night anyway. I admire those couples who have kids, and still seem to always go out with one another to social events, vacations, date nights, day trips...Ahhh..maybe someday. Two things not in our favor. No one to watch the kiddos, and no money to hire someone to watch the kiddos. Oh how I long to have grandparents down the street. I don't often enough thank you Geoff for how truely amazing you are, and how much I appreciate you. The things I appreciate..
How you will clean up the dishes after dinner even though it's the last thing you feel like doing.
How you get up with Calum in the middle of the night while I lay there pretending to be sound asleep. (ha,ha)
How you charge my cell phone at night knowing that I will run out of the house the next day, cell phone in hand, and not a clue as to whether or not it's charged, or where my charger is.
How you almost always give me my way:)
How you are so considerate of my feelings.
How you know when I need a break, even when I don't know I need one.
How you encourage me to take time for myself:)
How you always take out the garbage.
How you clean out my car/truck each night without complaining about the total mess the kids and I made in it...coffee spills, french fries, and who knows what else....
How you put spending time with our boys above any other priority.
How sensitive you are.
I love you Mister!
Evan
My Sweet Brains! Yes I call Evan brains, simply because he is so smart. Things he is doing right now, that I truely appreciate..
How he is so observant! The other day I took off my toe-nail polish so I now have ugly naked toe nails. He noticed!!! Mommy why is the paint on your toes all gone? he asked.
How he is in this wonderful phase of thanking me for making his meals. "Thank you for making this nice dinner for me Mommy".
How he loves to cuddle with me even though he is getting to be a big boy... He will lay on me with his blankie of course for long periods of time when he is tired, or feeling needy!
How sensitive he is. Just like his daddy..I love it...
The way he dances in circles, all the while no hip or bootie movement involved.
How he asks me so politely "Mommy do you want to play with me?"...I always try to say Sure:)
Calum
My sweet Calum (Buttercup). His first Valentines Day! Things I love about you that your doing right now!
How you always greet me with a smile.
How you are so outgoing, and give everyone smiles:)
Your independence! You have no problem exploring things around you or playing on your own.
How you crinkle your nose, smile, and sniff...
The way you say "mama" like your so desperate for attention.
How you always move to the beat of music. Even if your sitting in your high chair and music is playing you will bounce to the beat.
Your fuzzy hair!
