A Second Life
So I have had nothing short of a really horrible week. However, in the end God is faithful, and where I have drawn my strength from. My father is slowly gaining his strength back, out of ICU, and on what they are calling cardiac rehab. I speak with him each night (which is the next day in the Philipines), and call his Cardiologist for updates every two days. The most amazing part of all of this is that during his fourth heart attack (which took place one week ago) he actually died. He described it just like you see in the movies. He was hooked up to all the monitors and heard bup, bup, bup, and then he flatlined. He of course keeps replaying the event in his head, and did not sleep for three days because of fear. He tells me that he is being blessed with a second life. How amazing! They used the paddles to revive him. His cardiologist relayed the entire event to me also. I get chills each time I hear, or tell the story. God is not finished with him yet. Thank you for your continued prayers. We are hoping to get him back to the United States in a week or so where he will definitely need surgery, and will hopefully be as good as new.

I don't think you ever told us the whole story with him being revived. So scary. I willkeep praying that he makes it home safely and SOON. I know how worried you have been and the added stress of him being in another country is so difficult. Hang in there.
