A Love Letter To Evan

Dear Evan,

In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to write you a quick note to tell you how very much I love you, and how thankful I am that God has given me this enormous responsibility of being your Mommy. Your laughter, energy, love, smile, sensitive nature, desire to please, and sense of humor make you one awesome boy. You are definitely our little charmer.

I will never forget the first time I saw you, the first time I touched you, and the first time I held you. You are a gift from God, and a true blessing to Mommy, Daddy, and Calum.

I pray that God will protect you, and that you will grow up knowing that the most important relationship you can have is one with Christ. Thank you for causing me to stop and see the beauty in the simple things each day.

Last night as I was tucking you into bed you said;

"Mommy I love you so so much."

"Your the bestest Mommy in the whole whole world". topped with...

"Your my bestest friend in the whole world."

Of course I was feeling quite flattered at this point, and couldn't let it stop there. I wanted to know more. So I asked you "What makes me a good Mommy?"

You know always looking for some positive affirmations that I am doing a good job. You said..

"You play trucks with me, you read me books, and you play with me." Awwww...

You are really starting to verbalize your emotions, and maturing so much. This is such an amazing process, and so fun to watch.

I love you so much Mr. Evan and although some days being your Mommy is a very challenging job, it's also the most important and rewarding job I will ever have.
