Envelopes and Hidden Treasures

Lately after everyone is in bed and I throw in a load of laundry, clean up the dishes, check my e mail, take a bath, and pick up all the pieces to random toys, games, puzzles, crayons, play money, etc.. strewn around the house,

I find these.

Everywhere.

Little envelopes from Evan.

Some have a picture in them,

and some have things like pencils, a notepad, fake money, or a stamp (all things he plays with and are important to him).

Evan is becoming more interested and enjoying writing lately, and he loves to pretend he is the mailman. I love watching him pretend play, and am fascinated by all the details he is picking up on just by watching.

What an enormous responsibility I have, knowing he is watching and taking in all the details.
