Summer in April, Slip and Slides, and Grapes!

If I didn't know it by looking at the calendar, I would say it has felt like mid July around here with our temperature being in the upper 90's for the last few days. We got a jump start into the summer activities, and got out the slip n' slide Mommy bought on clearance last year.

My boys attempting to climb the fence. Monkey see..Monkey do!

Calum pretending to go on the potty. We tried out big boy underwear just for fun, and he loved feeling like a big boy. He kept trying to go pee-pee, and when nothing would come out he would get off the potty and say "not yet mama".

Makena enjoying the elephant sprinkler!

Who knew a slide n' slide could double as a colander?

Step one: Spray grapes down the conveyor. If they are too heavy, split them in half. This makes them move faster...
Ahh a little unexpected water in the face... I hate it when that happens!
I learned all my grape inspecting skills by watching my big brother.

The grape inspectors hard at work!

I was amazed at how long my boys were outside today doing this. As they did we were busy creating stories about being grape inspectors, what grape inspectors do, the difference between a good grape and a bad grape, where the grapes would go, who we could sell them to...and on.... and on. It was quite creative and entertaining! Evan of course came up with the whole idea of washing them by spraying the elephant nose sprinkler on them, watching them slide down he cracks of the slide, and the hours of entertainment went from there!

No kidding!!! It's been hot, hot, HOT. And the water fun your kids are having looks like so much fun.

My W W is now published. I hope you can stop by sometime if you find time. It's a YOU TUBE I made of slides on a walking tour I took my husband on this past Saturday. If you have speakers, turn up the volume...some good music was added! Happy Wednesday!

Hi Jessica!
You have such adorable kids! I can't get over you having temps in the 90's! We've had upper 70's around here and it's felt like a heat wave! Of course, come July, we'll be sweating like crazy! They don't call it "Hotlanta" for nothing!

Happy WW!

So cute. It's certainly weird around here. We went from cold and snowing to 80 degree's predicted for today. I am NOT complaining, bring on the sun!
