We had a fun filled, packed Fourth of July. It started with a Fun Run at 7:30 a.m. that Mommy did with her pals Michelle, Karen, and Lori.
We finished in the first 100 so we got a t-shirt, and we barely broke a sweat. Could that be because we took the short cut? Shhh!
Followed by a yummy pancake breakfast! Delish!
Little Mr. Calum enjoying his stickiness.
Next up was the parade. We had some pretty awesome seats where the boys got loads of candy. Evan was so cute waving and waving at each float, person, golf cart, or car that drove by. At one point he had to rest his elbow on his leg because his arm was getting so tired.
I love this picture of my almost 5 year old. What a great smile you have Evan!

We then had a BBQ with the girls next door, followed by a fireworks show in the middle of our street.
As you can see from this picture, the fireworks were exciting but the noise level was still a little scary.
Evan loved the sparklers
Last but not least was the awesome night time fireworks show. One of the best parts was that we so graciously got to use my friend Lori and Rich's golf cart. This enabled us to get to and from the show in much less time (beating all the traffic), and we had some pretty amazing seats. The boys loved riding around our community in the golf cart probably just as much as they loved the fireworks.
It was an awesome day. When Evan woke up on July 5th he asked if there would be more that night. When I told him how many sleeps until the next Fourth of July he wanted to know how long until Christmas. I do think time in the life of a four year old is measured by when the next holiday comes.
