A Mosquito Bite and Not So Great Timing

This morning when you woke up your eye was nearly swollen shut from the two day old mosquito bite you had on your forehead. The irony of all this is that Mommy had been scrambling around like crazy mama's do the week before family pictures are to take place. That's right our pictures were scheduled for his morning. I have spent the last two days getting haircuts, shopping, and stressing out way to much over all these little details.

Here I was worried about making sure our clothes all blended together instead of looking too "matchy match", when I should have been worried about having you on lock down in order to avoid a mosquito confrontation smack in the middle of your forehead.

This picture was taken about an hour after a dose of Benadryl, and you were looking and feeling much better.

Although I do love where we live I am getting fed up with mosquitoes. We love to be outside, but lately we haven't been taking any evening walks. It's just not worth it when your poor little face, head, leg, arm, or any other body part gets so swollen and then oozes some clear liquid for one-two weeks. Big brother was the same way and I used to rush him off to the Doctor when he looked like this but now I know exactly what it is, and I have high hopes that next year your little system won't react to the bites as severely as you do now.
