Dirt Day

Geoff's parents (Papa Tony and Grammie) arrived from Toronto Canada on Tuesday. The kids were so excited to see them since this has been our longest stretch (8 months). We love having them here and watching them interact with the boys. Their love for their grandchildren is evident. It's hard having them live so far away so we cherish the times they are here.

Right away the men were hard at work outside creating a play area for the boys, and finishing off the landscaping that has been near complete for the past year. Evan was so excited when the dump truck arrived and dumped a huge pile of dirt in front of the house. It is so funny to watch and hear the excitement in his voice when it comes to dump trucks (and garbage trucks). Nobody taught him to love theses things, he just does. It's fun to watch his interests develop, and to see his excitement about the simple things in life. He was right behind Daddy and Papa tony as they filled their wheelbarrows full of dirt filling his dump truck, and running right behind them to dump his pile. He would come inside for a quick snack or drink, and then quickly head back outside because he had a lot of work to do (he would say). Needless to say, he slept great that night and we now have a completed play area for the kids.

Our new play area (thank you Dad and Papa Tony)
