Disneyland

We finally made it to Disneyland! We went for a fast two day trip while Papa Tony and Grammie were visiting. We went to the beach, stayed the night in a hotel-o (Evan calls it), and spent the day at the happiest place on earth. The kids had a blast. It was so fun to take Evan when he had no idea what Disneyland was or what to expect. He was literally in awe all day long. Since he is my little observer, he had a packed day of overwhelming sights and sounds to observe. He loved everything about Disney. I think for him 3 1/2 was the perfect age to take him for the first time. He loved every ride we went on and would say "Mommy I want to go again", each time a ride would end. Even though he loved them all, I think his favorite ride was the Nemo Submarine. Since he loves the movie and knew all the characters he was really excited. He also really liked the roller coaster in Toon Town (which is pretty fast), and he rode it twice. I was really surprised that he was not afraid of anything, especially since some of the rides were a little scary. He ate his way through the theme park, and wanted a new treat with each vendor cart he saw.

Calum of course loved Disney too, and was so still during each ride while taking it ALL in. He did a lot of waving and blowing kisses to friends while waiting in lines. This was his first time in a hotel, which was a little rough when it came time for night-night, but Evan did a great job at playing with him, and trying to comfort him. It didn't help that Mommy forgot his special blanket (Bad Move).

I can't wait to go back. One full day was really not long enough. I have been to Disney soo many times, but this was definitely the best trip yet. To watch Evan and Calum's faces light up all day long was the greatest.

Mommy I want that Big Big Lolipop pleeeeease! Mommy I want some of that pink stuff pleeeeease!!!

Dumbo (another favorite of Evan's)
So strong!
