I took Mr. Calum to the Dr. this week for his 18 month check up. Here are his latest statistics:
Height: 34 1/4 inches (93 rd percentile).
Weight: still 23 pounds and 12 ounces (19th percentile).
He only gained 9 ounces in 6 months. I was shocked, and even made the nurse weigh him again thinking it must be a mistake.
I have been a little concerned the last couple of weeks about him not eating very much, but now I am a little more concerned. I know he is more on the move now, and that the "picky" eater stage has set in, but it's time to get creative. I will try new foods to spice it up in hopes that he will eat more, and smoothies seem to be a hit around here, so maybe I'll throw in some ice cream for extra fat. I seriously don't know what he is living off of because he has not had a decent size meal in at least two weeks.
Today you got 3 shots, and you didn't even cry. What a brave boy you are Calum. The Doctor was very impressed at how cooperative you were, and your excellent motor development, as well as your language skills. You are imitating anything we ask, following lots of directions, and amaze me everyday with how much you know what's going on around you.

Wow, what a tall fella...and so brave not crying for his shots. That eating business is tough, isn't it? Owen wouldn't touch anything but broccoli last night and tonight he ate a million green beans...I can't figure it out.

Wow, I can't believe how tall he is (and how little he weighs)! Maybe it's the teeth? hmm, yes creative smoothies, ice cream, etc. are sure to help! I can't believe he did'nt even cry at his shots. I still cry when they get shots : ( Glad you're back. Love ya, Brandi
I'd go for the ice cream, avocado and sour cream. He must be one brave cookie to not cry after 3 shots! Glad you're back.
