What could be better? My two favorite places all in one day. Since it was my birthday weekend I decided we would take a trip to the beach, and to see the redwoods at Muir Woods National Park. This has become one of my favorite places since it has both beach and forest. I want my kids to learn and appreciate nature like Geoff and I do. Evan is already a fan of hiking, and both kids LOVE to be outside, and had a great time at the beach. A day without cell phones, t.v., housework, and distractions. My Mom, brother, sister-in-law, and cousins met us there too. It was a perfect day!

Happy Birthday! What fun you guys had and what a great way to celebrate your birthday. I'd love to be on the beach and at the mountains all at once! My list of places to visit in CA keeps growing.
