Photostory Friday and A new hide out

Since the day after we decorated our tree the boys have found their new favorite place to be, under the Christmas tree. I always know if I walk into the front room and don't see them, that's where they are. Usually it is a joint activity, and I will find them together laying on a pillow, eating a snack, or even eating candy canes that they ever so smoothly sna-fooed when Mommy wasn't looking.

I was brave and have already placed presents under the tree due mostly to limited space, and actually they have been really good about not opening any, that was until yesterday. I was on the phone, they were out of sight and in their new hide out, and I heard rrr----iii---pppppp. They were opening a gift for my niece, it was clothing, and pink,...not interesting...., and probably not what they were expecting. I just laughed, and then told them not to open anymore....They listened..shocking!!

I will be sad when we are forced to take down their new hide out the day after Christmas. We got our tree really early and are hoping it lives until Christmas BUT, Until then my boys are enjoying their new found star filled forest.

And this picture was not posed, they put together their wardrobe from the spider man glasses to the Santa hat!! The stars get pretty bright in the forest ya know, must always wear shades!

Soo funny! Glad your tree is providing entertainment as well as beauty! I too am scared to put the packages out for fear they will be ripped open! You are brave! Brandi

OMG Jessica, they are so adorable. I remember when I was young there was this room with so much furniture and boxes but all I could see was a playground and hideouts. It was the coolest thing in the world. I am not sure how long that room was around for or if it was just during a move but it became a memory forever. Weird.

Oh what fun they are having...maybe opening the pink made them think that everything under there is for girls!

That is adorable! We have a one year old so we try and keep them away from the tree.. Ours is dead already, we go ours early as well. I am already picking up dead pine needles from the dogs whipping it with their tails when playing around the tree =). And thank goodness it was not one of their presents they opened, that was a close one!

Happy Holidays!

Very nice -- I wish I fit under the tree.

I'm impressed that they can spend so much time there & not knock the tree down - pretty talented. I love their outfits - too much!
Our tree looks . . . interesting. Only the top 1/3 is covered b/c the younger ones keep ripping off the ornament on the bottom. lovely.
