Christmas Day 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas, and spent the day at home. We thought it would be so much fun for the kids to hang out at home, ride their bikes, and have family over to our house rather than rushing around. It was a great day. The boys were so excited to see what Santa brought, and woke up only slightly earlier than usual (since we were up late after spending Christmas Eve at Uncle Scott and Auntie Trish's house). Daddy bought Mommy a new camera so let me just put out a warning that there will be lots of pictures. If I could just learn how to use the camera, that would be great. There is nothing more magical than being a parent and having the opportunity to view Christmas through the eyes of your child.

Here are the boys on Christmas morning in front of the tree.

My sweet boys. Calum would NOT smile for Mommy even though he was a super happy guy.

Calum was excited to open the fire truck Santa brought him, BUT

He was even more excited about the candy he got in his stocking. He spent the morning opening all of his candies, unwrapping them, and of course eating them until we made him stop.

Evan was excited to find that Santa brought him just what he asked for, a bike without training wheels. He hopped right on it, and has been riding great ever since!

Evan was excited to open his stomp rocket too.

Evan showing off his new scarf!

It was so cute watching Calum open his presents. He would say "Oh I wanted this for Christmas", and "thank you" as he opened his gifts and before he even saw what it was. It was adorable!

Getting the wrappers off of these candies is hard work.

Daddy liked his new shirt from Mommy!

The boys spent the morning riding their new bikes around the kitchen.

Here comes Evan..watch OUT!!!!

After we opened presents Mommy served some delicious home made cinnamon rolls. These will definitely be a new Christmas morning tradition. Yummmmy!!

Evan enjoying a cinnamon roll.

The boys of course did not waste any time, and were outside riding their bikes all morning and for part of the afternoon.

All that bike riding is hard work!

Here's Evan trying out the Stomp rocket!!

Rocket Man.

We had Christmas dinner with Grandma, Papa, Uncle Scottie, Auntie Trish, Jessica, Johnnie, and Scottie. Here Daddy is cutting the prime rib. It turned out to be DELISH!

Calum thought Jessica filling her mouth with whipped cream was pretty hilarious!

I am so thankful for my family and friends. I love you, and am looking forward to an awesome 2010!
