Calum and His Big Boy Bed

On New Year's Day as Daddy and I were cleaning up and packing away the Christmas decorations we decided that maybe you were ready for a big boy bed. You never tried to climb out of your crib, you are a great sleeper, so we were hoping for a smooth transition. You were beyond excited about being in a big boy bed.

Here you are making your bed, and getting it all ready. You had to make sure the blankets were just right.

It's almost nap time, and for the first time ever you were actually excited about taking a nap.

Big boy Calum getting ready for his first sleep in his new bed.
On the first night you fell out of your bed three times. You didn't make a sound, just somehow rolled off the bed. After putting you back in three times, you were there to stay.

Here you are fast asleep.

I am happy to report that night one (other than falling out of your bed) was successful. Night 2 and 3 you were in bed with Mommy and Daddy around 4 a.m., and night 4 awake calling for Moommmmy at 3 a.m. Mommy comforted you at 3 a.m. and then again at 4 a.m. but you stayed in bed. I am hoping for full nights of sleep in our near future:). You are so very excited about being a big boy and love to tell everyone about your new milestone.

Congrats on the switch to the big boy bed! I hope he returns to a full night sleep soon. If not, you can call me, I'm almost always up at 4am, if not 2am! (Everynight) : (

Good for him. We moved Sam to a big boy bed two weeks ago, because he was climbing out of his crib anyway. He has now become a sleep terrorist. I will be blogging about it soon. If I'm not too tired.
