When
Grammie and Papa Tony came to visit last month they brought Evan some hockey sticks, after all they are from Canada. Geoff grew up in Toronto where kids play hockey in the streets year round. In the summer it's street hockey, and in the winter it's ice hockey. In the winter they freeze the tennis courts for ice skating and hockey, which I of course found fascinating having grown up in California, very resourceful. I lived in Canada for almost two years after Geoff and I got married and learned first hand that hockey is a BIG deal. Everyone is fully aware of when playoffs are, who is playing, and what time the game is on.
So here is a video of Evan representing his Canadian roots. He is continuing to make his Daddy proud. Evan is already so good at hitting the puck. I believe that is called a
slap shot??

So funny! The girls and I will be wearing our head gear and mouth guards from here on out to make sure we don't get any slapshots upside the head!
I love to watch hockey. It's the one sport my kids didn't play and I don't know a darn thing about it but I love to watch it. Maybe he'll come play for The Thunder some day.
