Sunday Randoms

My two boys couldn't be happier. This picture was taken after we left the candy store where they got to choose what they wanted. We figured out what Calum wanted because he was pointing to all the lollipops saying "pease" "pease" while signing please at the same time. Evan of course wanted the largest one he could find.

Today you had your first lollipop. It had a doggy on it. You were so excited, and loved every minute of it until Mommy had to distract you to take it away (after about 20 minutes). Your face and clothes were covered in a sticky mess. So well worth it though!

Evan and Calum went on a real Stage coach ride with grandma and Papa in Columbia, California. You both thought it was really cool, and Evan wanted to go again. Thanks Grandma and Papa for a fun day!

Next week is Evan's last week of preschool (for this year). Mommy can't believe it. I have watched you grow and change so much since your first day. You will now (most of the time) say good bye to Mommy without a tear, knowing I will be back in 2 1/2 short hours. You have become more social (you have made lots of friends), brave (you held a snake when the reptile exhibit came), and will speak in front of the class during your sharing turn (sometimes). You have even learned to write your name all by yourself. Pretty darn impressive!

The teachers tell me that you interact well with the others, and that you Always have a good day. You have been spotted being an observer, a very proud helper, and a sensitive, caring boy. When someone else in the class is sad you are compassionate, and are sure to go to them to tell them everything will be okay. I am very proud of you!

You have been walking around since Thursday wearing your ZEKE the Zebra costume which you will be wearing for the play on Tuesday night. You are super cute in it, and you know it my little charmer. You have rehearsed your lines, and know them well. Mommy just wants you to have fun, and if you get stage fright and say nothing on Tuesday that's okay, I am sure Mrs. Spencer will be there to help.

Little Mr. Calum. You have had a busy week of walking, learning how to open doors, and helping yourself to the pantry. Tonight I turned to find you in the cookies, and the other day you had three cereal boxes surrounding you. Sometimes you distribute the paper plates all around you as if you are having friends over for a picnic. You are on the move, and will not sit still long enough for Mommy to change your diaper, read you a book, or rock you. You understand so much of what we say, and ask you. You are identifying things when asked "Where is the__"? Even though you are walking, climbing, and on the move you are a little cuddler. You will crawl up on Mommy's lap, lay your head on my shoulder, and hug for long time periods. I love it!!! Your favorite word continues to be "out" whether you are at the back door wanting to go into the back yard, wanting out of your car seat, or out of your high chair. You are trying to feed yourself, and I have to always give you your own spoon in hopes that you will allow me to help by squeezing in some bites of veggies. You are not a big fan of veggies, but I am still trying. You are such a happy boy, and a joy to spend my days with!

It's fun to see them grow into little people isn't it? Yesterday Kaden sat with his Uncle "Jooey" and they had some ookies (yes he leaves out the "c"). He also wanted some of grandma's "shoda". I wish Evan good luck as the Zebra in his program tonight. Oh and I love Calum's after picture with the sucker. :o)
