Let it Snow

One of the highlights of our trip to Toronto to see Grammie and Papa Tony was that it snowed while we were there. The boys have never seen snow so before, so it was a brand new experience for them. We had a great time sledding, and after about 30 minutes into our sledding adventure it began to snow some more. It was so beautiful, and we all had a great time. There is something so magnificent about the stillness of the forest in the snow. We found a great spot where there wasn't a person to be seen. It was just us!

Calum was really into eating icicles, not the warmest treat when it's 20 degrees but he didn't seem to mind. As soon as he would finish one he would say "more- more" , and then we were off to find him another.

Eating an icicle while getting a ride in the sled.

Calum was pretty serious while in the 20 degree weather. He did smile and laugh a couple of times, but all in all I think he's like his mama when it comes to the cold weather. His little hands were freezing (even though he had snow mits on), and his nose wouldn't stop running. He began crying after about an hour, so we headed back to the car. It didn't help that he is in the process of getting both of his eye teeth.

Evan on the other hand was not at all bothered by the cold. He loved the snow. He ran up and down the hill, hiked through the forest, made snowballs, and could have spent hours and hours exploring and playing.

Grammie and the boys getting ready to go down the bumpy hill. She didn't even scream. She's one brave Grammie, unlike Mommy who screamed the whole way down.

Daddy and the boys.
Papa Tony and the boys. Papa Tony pulled the boys up the hill over and over. Thank you Papa Tony!

Calum enjoying the ride.
