Trick Or Treat

We had a great Halloween, and the kids managed to get lots of trick or treating in before it started raining. Grandma and Papa came too, which the boys were thrilled about. We started around 5:45 and went until almost 8:00. We had two hyped up boys on sugar. It's the one day out of the year that they can hold their bucket of candy and eat to their hearts content.

This picture is of the boys before the big event. The look on Evan's face says it all. They had eaten by 4:30, were dressed by 5:00, waited for Mommy to get home, and then Daddy, and now pictures...Come on!!! Evan was saying and thinking.."Will I ever get to go Trick or Treating Mom?" Grandma even took Evan to a house on our street before noon (just for fun) because he was so excited.

Why is my bucket empty??

Grandma and the boys

Papa pulling Calum in the wagon. After each house Calum would say "wagie" "wagie" and insist on being pulled to the next destination..smart boy!!!

Lissie the ladybug with her beautiful smile as always.

A little sugar pick me up is a necessity during trick or treating. Calum did his best to say "trick or treat"..and lots of "bank oo's"/thank you. He kept up with the big kids all night, and waddled right behind everyone up to each door step. Lollipops were definitely his candy of choice, and at one point during the night he had one in each hand.

Evan and his friends Garrett and Ryan

Evan in action. He was so excited and energized. After about the first 30 minutes he was really into it, and even went up to some houses on his own. Lots of people left bowls filled with candy. I think he may have taken more than one, but who wouldn't??? He was even brave enough to go up to the scary houses as long as he was holding Mommy or Daddy's hand. He later told me that he wasn't afraid because it wasn't real, just pretend.

The end result. Calum's first Halloween as a trick or treated was rather successful.
