For the past few months you have been talking about all the things you WILL do once you turn five. You say things like "When I am five...I will..... do the dishes, put myself night night, wash my own hair, learn to swim, go to school...and the list goes on.
I have heard other Moms talk about five, and how it's a REALLY big deal, but it was always so far away, and I never really GOT it...
Now I think I am GETTING it!! And it's becoming obvious to Mommy that you GET it too! This is a BIG DEAL!!
I watched you sleeping tonight in your much too small toddler bed (yes it's time for a bigger boy bed), and I can't believe how much you are changing.
How much you are growing. Not only is your body growing, but your face is changing too. You are growing up and I can' slow it down, and you are oh so proud of the big boy you are becoming.
Mommy is proud of you too.:)..
Lately you are always eating, always wanting seconds, and then after finishing your meal and then some, you are truly hungry an hour later. How can I resist your request for a bowl of dry Cheerios in bed? After all you are a growing boy!
You are becoming so confident and interested in going off with your friends to ride bikes, play, collect sicks, throw rocks in the mud, go on hikes, and play soccer. All of these things are taking place at our weekly playgroup at the park, and I love watching you interact with your pals.
You are developing a great sense of humor, and you love making other people laugh with your silly made up jokes and songs you sing. I heart your infectious laughter.
I really heart how you tell me many times a day "I love you so so much Mommy", and
"Your such a good Mommy".
I know I am not a perfect Mommy. I know that this job is way more challenging than I could have ever dreamt. I know that I am the luckiest Mommy in the whole world to have this enormous responsibility of being your Mommy. Thank you for loving me no matter what.
I love you more than words could ever express, and although I am nowhere near perfect, I am and will keep trying to be the best Mommy I can!!!

You are the BEST mommy with the patience of a saint! You will be recognized in heaven for all the hardwork you do:) I can't believe he will be 5....time is flyin' by. So glad we get to watch him grow right along with you!
Wow, he is getting so big! It is hard to believe (almost) five years has gone by. I love the sleeping pictures too! Brandi
Such a sweet post. While we aren't closing in on 5, I cannot believe how fast time has gone.
