To my Sweet Mister Calum,
You are only two years and two months old and already you think it's time to get rid of your one hour and a half afternoon nap. In the last week you have napped maybe 3 out of seven days. Instead of laying down you spend the whole time sitting up talking, and then eventually shouting "Mommy..Come Here"...
Your new obsession (other than Charlie the monkey), is that you NEED to have the door "cracked a wittle bit...peeeeease.." Is it the distraction of knowing that the door is cracked?
Is it all the new sounds of what's going on outside of the door? Maybe sounds you could not hear when the door was closed?
Is it that you know big brother is awake and quite possibly having a snack and doing something fun with Mommy outside?
Or are you just done?
You do sleep well at night, and have never really been much of napper.
Is this it? Could it be???
I think it's a little early to throw in the towel, so this Mama is going to keep trying so we shall see. Maybe it's a phase...right??
When in doubt, call it a phase!!!

oops - momma's free time is over! (smiles)
What an adorable smile. Nap time may indeed be over or it could be a phase. All of mine loved napping. :)
Lord knows I'd NEVER throw in the towel on naptime:)
I remember when my kids were done w/ their naps! It was like that 2 hour of freedom was instantly gone! :)
His smile is too cute! I could see how he gets his way with that face! :) your free time is over!
All of my kids gave up their regular naps around this time too. I forced my twins to try to nap for much longer than my other kids, though. :)
hoping for your sake that it is a total phase! one that goes away soon!
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing...
What a sweetie-- My baby turned 3 in Feb. and hasn't had a nap since he is 1. TFS
