Last weekend we were off to Ikea to buy you your first big boy bed. It was time. Your feet were nearly hitting the foot board of your toddler bed, and with all the books and blankets you sleep with there just wasn't enough room.
You picked it out, and were so excited that you would soon be sleeping up high. There is a ladder, but it only has three steps. Underneath your bed we are going to put some pillows and books to make a cozy reading area. It came with a tent like canopy which you also really like, but when it came to night time it was a little too dark for you. We'll save it for you just in case you change your mind as you get older.
You were so patient helping and watching Daddy put the bed together. There were lots of pieces, which meant it took lots of time.
You have always been a boy who loves his sleep, and you were even more ready to go to bed all week, and even wanted to take a nap just so you could be in your new bed.
It's so fun watching you experience another first, and watching you be so excited about it.
