6 Word Memoir Meme

Casey tagged me for this Meme, and I can't say I came up with the most creative 6 words, but I gave it my best. The Meme originated over an idea that was prompted by the book written by Larry Smith and Rachel Fershleiser, Not Quite What I was Planning: Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure. It's a compilation based on the story that Hemingway once bet ten dollars that he could sum up his life in six words.

His words were- For Sale: baby shoes, never worn.
Here are the rules:

1. Write your own six word memoir
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere
4 .Tag five more blogs with links
5. And don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!

So these types of things do totally stress me out, which is why it took me so long to do it. After much thought I have come up with a few, but keep coming back to this thought.

"Thankful for my Family and Friends".

I know it sounds generic, but here are my thoughts! No illustrations because that would be way to many pictures.

The most important thing to me in life are those I love. I feel so incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful husband, two beautiful boys, my mother and father, mother-in-law and father -in -law, brothers and sister and sister-in-law, and some pretty amazing friends whom I know I can always count on (you know who you are):)..

The older I am getting the more I am realizing how precious life really is. The older my children get the more I realize how important these years are, and how fast they are flying. They seem to be changing each day.

The older I get the more I realize that although my boys need me so much right now, and although some days are so draining mentally and physically, someday they won't need me as much :(..

The older I get the more I realize how fragile life is. I see more people getting sick, I attend more funerals, witness more tragedies and illnesses, and keep remind myself to "live in the moment".

The older I get the more I realize it's so not worth it to sweat the small stuff, and that...

It's most important to spend time with those I love.

Now it's my turn to tag..I am a new blogger, so hopefully everyone will participate! And for those of you who are contemplating starting a blog..do it:)

This is such a cool meme, THANK YOU for thinking of me!! Angie actually tagged me for it weeks ago and I am crappy and still haven't done it.

But. Now that you've thrown down the gauntlet too, I really need to do it. I WILL.

And I love your Memoir. It makes total sense to me.
