Photo Story Friday and My Dad

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

This picture was taken on Father's Day of my dad, my sister, and I. It was an extra special Father's Day because we nearly lost our Dad in March after he suffered four consecutive heart attacks, the fourth being massive. I strongly believe that he is here because God is not finished with him yet. Dad and I have talked in detail about what he experienced (he was in the Philippines when he had his heart attacks), what he saw, how he felt, and how he was praying and praising Jesus the whole time. What a testament of his faith that he was crying out to Jesus up until the very moment he was revived after flat lining. My father's experience gives me a new perspective on life, what is important, and reminds me that we are here for only a short time. I pray that this perspective does not fade with time. I love my Father very much, and am thankful for each day I can spend with him.

Beautiful post. So sorry your father and to have that experience. So glad you are all moving on from it and know that he's meant to still be here on Earth.
