Ah Pah's

Calum's new obsession is otter pops AKA "Ah-Pah". He thinks all ice cream is called an "Ah-Pah". From the moment he wakes up he is standing in front of the fridge repeating "ah pah mama" ah pah". He sounds so desperate, and gets this look of sheer excitement as he shrugs his shoulders lifting his hands outwards, and sometimes throwing in the sign for "more", even though he hasn't had any yet. It is pretty funny, and of course adorable. Often I give in (even in the morning). Since it is the current obsession I have found some healthier alternatives.

1.) Pedialyte pops..they are bound to be better for him with less sugar.

2.) I have been making my own "Ah-Pah's" with grape juice with a handy Popsicle tray I bought on clearnce at target. The best $1.98 I ever spent.

He doesn't know the difference, and loves them all the same.

So cute. I can't remember if you are already doing this but you can freeze Gogurts (yogurt tubes) and Hannah's mom found these apple sauce tubes that you can freeze too. Aaron's been enjoying the yogurt pops. Oh, I also found mini icecream pops at the plaza. probably not for breakfast but it's a nice kid size for after dinner. It's scary how mad our little babies get though when you need to take something like an icecream away from them. Sometimes I have to take the pop from him to wrap the stick in a napkin with all intentions of returning it but end up getting the Wrath of a 15 month old. Gotta love em'
