Wordful Wednesday and Our Somewhat Small Party

Angie over at Seven Clown Circus is hosting her first Wordful Wednesday.

Check out her blog to see who else is playing.

We had a small birthday party for Evan's 4th Birthday. I started asking him what he would like to do for his birthday a couple of months before, giving suggestions of bounce house places, indoor play centers, the zoo with a train.

Each time he replied "No Mommy, I want a party at home with only two kids."

I found that very perceptive that at the ripe old age of four he could tell me exactly what he wanted. Of course that is what he wanted since he hates crowds, and especially if lots of people are looking at him.

So me being the Mommy that I am had a hard time inviting only two kids. That just wouldn't work. Since the girls next door come in 3's, your cousins come in 3's, and then three more close friends families. You get the picture. I did my very best to make it quaint, but just couldn't have only two kids.

Evan was comfortable and was surrounded by those he is very familiar with and close too. He did a great job, surprisingly loved all the attention, was right into opening his presents, blew out his candles, and then gave Mommy a big nervous hug realizing everyone was looking and singing just to him. Here are some pictures of his fun day.

We popped water balloons .
We ate lots of yummy food.
We drank.
We got Curious George tatoos.

We were allowed to eat candy off of the ground, after beating up the Curious George Pinata.
We ate loads of candy!!!
We played pin the butterfly on the log.
We opened presents

And we ate big pieces of cake!!!!

Looks like such a great party. I love the C.G. pinata and the expressions on everyone's faces are priceless. Next week you'll have to scare up some black mail pictures of those neighbor girls of yours that come in 3's. :) Loved those of your boys. Thank you so much for playing along, Jessica!

Looks like the PERFECT birthday party.

I love that he knew what he wanted even at a young age. I think he's a keeper, that one!

Ahhh...look how fun you are playing along with Angie's wordful wednesday! We had a great time at the b-day party, eventhough it was a sugar overload for the girls:) I think Evan did fantastically well at his party even with lots of peeps.

P.S. You'll have to forward your costco pics to me.
