You are becoming so very independent these days. Lately when you get on the bikes or in the toy car you look up at me and say a very kind "no" as you gently move my hand away as though your saying;
You are in still in your picky eater stage..and it's driving Mommy nuts! Your latest frenzy when it comes to eating is that you have to have the whole of everything..a waffle "faffle" you say", cookie, cracker, bread..everything. You don't like it if I cut anything into pieces, and then you will take one or two bites out of whatever it is thats whole, and then want a new one. So I often have ten half eaten pretzel sticks, or two cookies with two bites taken from each one. Although you are refusing most veggies these days you will never turn down anything sweet. Mommy is getting a little too relaxed about these treats.
Here you are eating your first push up ice cream...Dee-lish!!!
Why doesn't the ice cream man visit our neighborhood???
And your first chocolate pretzel... thanks to Auntie Casey!! And yes after all the chocolate was off of the pretzel, you did in fact also eat the pretzel.
Now more than ever you are attached to "me-me"..AKA ..your blanket. It is even making it's way into the car sometimes.
Your still obsessed with "side-side" (outside). Who can blame you. There is so much to see and discover, and the weather has been awesome. You will stand by the kitchen glass door anytime day or night and repeat "side.. side.. side" until we either distract you, or let you out. You are even trying to ride brother's bikes even though your feet don't quite reach the pedals yet. It won't be long.
With a little prompting you can say "I Love You"....It's so sweet. It sounds more like "I wuv oo". Sometimes you complete the phrase by saying who you love..I will say "I love..., and then you shout out "Mama" or "Evan" or "Dada".
You wake up so happy and cheerful in the morning. This is refreshing for Mommy since sometimes I am not feeling so cheerful at 7:30 a.m. What a great way to start my day!
When you go to sleep at night you give Mommy an air smooch (if your in the mood).
You love to get a book, and sit on Mommy's lap to read. You are beginning to really like books.
Your still really into doggies, and will go around the house collecting as many "goggies" as you find. You will try to carry about 5 stuffed goggies at a time while saying "heavy..heavy.."
I love you my sweet boy, and you continue to "wow" me with your smarts, love, and joy for life!

You do such an awesome job of summarizing what Calum's latest milestones are! I look forward to watching him grow...while desperately trying to keep up with the big kids:)
I love these 'what you are doing now' posts. They are so much fun to read and will be great for you to look back on.
Oh that is the sweetest post about the sweetest boy. You will be so glad that you wrote down all of his funny words and silly obsessions. Those are the things we so easily forget as they get older.
