Last weekend we went to a pumpkin patch near our house where they had a corn maze. Me having never experienced one of these thought...Ahh this will be so much fun!
So off we went, and it was fun...just a little harder than I expected! The boys had fun trying to find our way out, and Evan loved being the leader and navigator. For the first twenty minutes the boys just wanted to collect as many corn ears as possible, so Geoff and I had to keep them moving along...as we found ourselves walking in circles...and circles..and circles..
One hour later we finally found our way out. Not quite what I was expecting. The whole time we were in there we only encountered one other family (with whom we found our way out together with as a team). I kept thinking of what would happen if it were to get dark and we were still in there. Do they yell out to make sure everyone has found their way out before they leave??? Somehow I don't think so!
I guess it didn't matter since we did find our way out and we had a great time, but now that I have little ones I do find myself thinking more about the what ifs than I ever did before!

Great pictures! There is a corn maze near our house and every year I try to talk Aaron into going, without any luck. I can't wait until Owen is old enough to help me convince him to go.
The one near us gives you a flag to carry and has a lookout tower so they can find you if it gets dark.

Looks like fun. I've never been in a corn maze, although my kids have. I went into a sweet pea maze once and it was really neat, but I started to get claustrophic and a little panicy about not getting out. :)

Wow, that must have been one heck of a maze! We went into a very small hay maze and got lost a couple of times. I fear I may have panicked a bit if I were you. Glad you found your way out!
