"There's a snake..move the kids."
I freaked, thinking it was a baby rattler.
We live where we always have to be vigilant because there are snakes, and we do see them more often than I would like, or we hear that a neighbor saw one.
In the almost three years we have lived here we have had two rattlesnakes, and several gopher snakes on our property.
I will never get used to it!
After research our consensus was that it was not a rattlesnake, but nonetheless scary!

oooh, scarry! I hate snakes...
I would have FREAKED. I am SO afraid of snakes. In fact, some of my most terrifying nightmares involve lots and lots of snakes. Is the Isle of Wight the same as the Isle of Man?
Sounds like you got lucky to marry a calm one too. If I would have seen it first I probably would have screamed!
help me.

Oh wow. I have a love hate relationship with them but if one is near my child then I would quickly turn all crazy momma bear on it. Or so I say. I got the chills.
Creepy.. I hate snakes. Which is kinda funny that I used to hunt them down with my brothers.. gives me the chills just thinking about it.
Good thing Geoff saw it before Calum got to it. There was a copperhead in our neighbors driveway a couple weeks ago.
i would have totally freaked out!
Wow! That is an awesome photo but a scary incident. So glad dad saw it and remained calm.
