On Monday I took the kids to Lake Tahoe for one day and night with my BF Casey and the girls next door for what we were hoping would be two nights away (since packing up the whole house for one night is ridiculous). Our friend Ly and her village were there renting a cabin for the week for her 34th birthday. We had a great time at the lake, ate Ly's yummy cooking, and my home made pinapple upside down cake (Ly's favorite).
Here are some pics from our day at the beach. Although we did have fun I was happy to be home since I only had about 20 minutes of sleep all night. It was about 8 million degrees in our condo (that didn't have air conditioning), and the boys were waking up all night long. Evan peed the bed, kept waking up thirsty, and Calum was just crazy. He was over tired, trying to back up to get off the bed, was having nothing to do with the porta crib, and would only fall asleep on my chest. The second I would try to slip him off of my onto the bed he would wake and scream. Just like old times...since he slept on my chest his first two months of life. At least I was able to get some cuddle time in. My boys are very used to their sleep schedule and their own beds which is always a good thing unless you want to sleep somewhere else. Calum was a little unsure of the sand at first.
Lissie lounging in the sand!

Talk about dejavu! Right down to the birthday wishes. Except your bedtime routine was with boys. :)
I was there but I still loved reading the re-cap from your perspective! I already forgot how freakin' hot that condo was. I sweat just thinking about it! Chalk up another adventure for us:)
looks like sooo much fun!!
seriously i have to get myself to lake tahoe!! can you be my tour guide some day?
I wished I lived that close to Tahoe! Looks like a great time, other than the sleepless night. We're heading to the beach for Owen's first trip in August and I can't wait to see how he likes it.
