So that's it..we're done. No more baba. I figured since Calum is now such a big boy with his new big boy haircut, it was time to ditch the bottle. It was not hard, as most things are not with my easy going guy. Last night I took this picture of him with his last ba ba. As you can tell he is being a little silly, and just kept putting the bottle in and out of his mouth with his head tipped backwards, but not drinking it. Right after I snapped this pic he walked over to me and said;
"all done", and then handed me his bottle.
Now that was easy!
Okay but that's not all. I then took him into his room and rocked my 26 pound baby to sleep while feeding him his last bottle. This is the ONLY time he EVER sits still. I tried to soak up the moment since I knew that him laying still and falling asleep in my lap will now be a thing of the past. Does this mean I have to get rid of the rocking chair and all the bottles? Do I store them or throw them away? Hmmm..I do keep revisiting that question as I am continuously cleaning out the old clothes, toys, and stuff we just don't need for our baby turned toddler. I guess if I am unsure, I will keep the bottles and the rocking chair...for now anyway!

Super cute! Such a big boy...you can come to our house for some cuddling anytime when you need a fix:)
I hear ya! We've been done with bottles from probably a month and yet they still monopolize an entire (large) drawer in our kitchen. We're clearly DONE, but somehow it seems hard to actually get rid of them!

Ah yes. Another hurdle behind you. My boys were not cuddlers and I used to be so grateful when they didn't feel well, because they would spend more than 3 seconds sitting on my lap.
Oh, what a sweet picture. I was sad to take away my twins bottles cuz I knew that was that. forever. :)
You are so lucky it was that easy. Jordan cried for 3 nights straight that he wanted his "mimis" back. I finally had to have my mom call and tell him she threw them away. LOL I think he still resents that deep down to this day. Now you have 2 big boys.
My daughter still rocked/napped with me for about another 6 mo after we gave up the bottle. I'm sure he will too. I still try to get her to do it sometimes.
Oh wow, do I feel ya. He certainly is one sweetheart of a boy! What a cutie. Another milestone in the rearview!
I am really crappy at this transition. Evie still has a bottle. She uses sippies too, but neither one of us are ready to be exclusive.
Motherhood can be so bitter sweet...
Great capture of a memory!!
Big steps! Congrats on the no more bottles and good luck with each new "step" he takes!
Oh I envy that ease! When I broke my daughter of her baba (22 yrs ago) she held onto the refrigerator door and cried for one day then she was done. But the crying was so hard on me I still remember it today.
Why get rid of the chair? If it's a good chair then there's no reason it should go.
