Daddy took a day off work this week so we could do something together as a family. Life these days is way too busy, and often we don't do many of the things we want to. Since Calum was born it seems like when Geoff is home I try to work, and vice versa. I have been working Saturday mornings, and then Sunday we have church which doesn't leave for very much left over for recreation.
We live near some lakes (but I am honestly a little sacred to swim in them), and there is an lot of goose poop around. However right down the street from us is this beautiful clean river, with fish the boys can see, few people (if any), lots of clean sand to play in, and the water is not freezing which is always a bonus. The boys had a blast swimming, playing in the sand, and who could forget throwing rocks. It was great to just hang out together. Here are some pictures from our fun day (except for the fact that my boys have lots of mosquito bites from this adventure)..eeks!

GREAT PSF Jessica!!
Looks like you guys had a great time! I love family days in the middle of the week, somehow makes them more special since they are out of the ordinary.
Since you were outside, does that mean the smoke has cleared a bit?
Looks like great fun. BTW - I love your blog style, way cute.
Very beautiful pictures. I think I love the one with your son's back turned to the camera the most.
That trip looks like it was a lot of fun.

What fun! It's great to take time off and do something fun with the family. Looks like everyone had a great time. I especially like the kicking exercises. :)
Although the only problem with sand is it gets everywhere!
